Families Bond, Boogie at Family Dance

Gladiola Elementary School students perfected line dances twirled, do-si-doed with their parents, and ate sweet treats at the annual Family Dance.

For families it was all about enjoying a night out of music and fun, but the dance, organized by the school’s Family Council, is an effort to build relationships and an overall support system within the school and community, said Principal Craig Hoekstra.

“Any opportunity to build a home-school connection is extremely important,” he said.
