After first year of teaching, ‘‘I feel like I could just keep going’

Editor’s note: “Study Hall” from School News Network is a podcast highlighting the students, teachers and others making education magic happen every day in classrooms across Kent County and beyond.

Kent City — At the start of the school year, Kent City Elementary School first-grade teacher Marla Anderson said she was excited to begin her rookie year as a public-school teacher. Now, with the year behind her, she’s excited to begin her second year next fall. We caught up with Anderson on the day before school let out for summer to see if she was still happy she went into teaching. The short answer? “I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
