Game on! Junior High students find community in club

Gamers play at Wyoming High School

Wyoming — It’s game time at Wyoming Junior High and that means a world of imagination is about to open, as students create worlds, battle zombies and advance to new levels.

Each week, about 80 Wyoming students get together for the Wolves Gaming Club, where they become immersed in Dungeons & Dragons, Super Smash Brothers and classic board games. Students say it’s not only fun but an incentive to do well in school and a great way to make friends.

SNN’s videographer joined in the fun, watching the games unfold and capturing the action.

Explore more unique video stories of students learning, interesting school programs and educators working to help all children succeed.
