ALL — In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park recently introduced school programs in Spanish, led by Stephanie Flores, school programs coordinator.
“Stephanie’s native proficiency in Spanish, bilingual education background, and proud Mexican American heritage give her a unique perspective to provide expertise to their educational programs,” according to information from Frederik Meijer Gardens.“These programs will enrich our students’ experiences as they share their culture and knowledge.”
Programs available for students of all ages include guided tours, which are curriculum-based, hands-on educational activities led by experienced teachers. The 60-minute interactive experiences include sessions like “My Inner Artist: Andy Goldsworthy” and “Exploring Holiday Traditions.”
