Education Everywhere — Children who love the PBS Kids show “Alma’s Way” can step into Alma’s world at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum this summer.
Alma’s Way: Welcome to My Neighborhood! is an immersive exhibit based on the show, which follows the adventures of 6-year-old Alma Rivera in her Puerto Rican neighborhood in the Bronx. The show was created by actor Sonia Manzano, who previously played Maria on “Sesame Street.”
The exhibit will feature areas from the show including Alma’s family duplex, a Bronx bodega, a pet clinic, a subway train and the community center.
General admission tickets include admission to the Alma’s Way exhibit. The museum is closed on Mondays.
