Godwin Heights — Twice a month, students at Godwin Heights Middle School step away from their regular schedule to explore specific interests in math, science, history, and literature during the school’s Zero Hour.
The 70-minute block, held on Wednesdays, centers on teachers sharing their passions through engaging lessons. Students are placed in their preferred content areas, where they might study forensic science or play a word game based on Dusti Bowling’s book, “Insignificant Events of the Life of a Cactus.”
SNN’s videographer stopped by Zero Hour to see the work firsthand and hear what students love most about the program.
