Pre-K open houses Feb. 26 & 27

Caledonia — Caledonia Community Schools will have more options for pre-K and young fives next school year, when the programming expands to every CCS elementary school.

The district invites families to attend their “PreK – Here I Come!” open houses and learn more about early learning opportunities offered for the 2026–27 school year in their neighborhood elementary schools.

There are two open houses: from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at both Duncan Lake Early Childhood Center and Dutton Elementary.

At both, families can experience established classrooms, meet early childhood educators and see what the program will look and feel like when it launches district-wide.

“By expanding pre-K and young fives opportunities in all of our elementary buildings, we are creating stronger, more connected pathways for our youngest learners,” Superintendent Dirk Weeldreyer said. “Early learning plays a critical role in a child’s development, and we’re excited to welcome families into our schools to see that foundation firsthand.”
