Kent ISD Director of Career Readiness Receives National Award

Kent ISD Director of Career Readiness Jarrad Grandy received the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathmatics) District Leader Award on April 25 for his leadership in the district’s continual development and improvement.

The award was presented at the International Association for STEM Leaders (IASL) inaugural leadership event in Washington, D.C. Nearly 100 STEM leaders from around the world convened to recognize leading programs, schools, districts and individuals who have displayed STEM Excellence.

IASL recognized Kent ISD as a district that “moves beyond theories and models to tangible deliverables, while always testing theories and models and real work being done in the classroom.”
