Dean Transportation hosting hiring event Friday

Driving positions, more, open at GRPS, Kent ISD

Multi-district — A daylong hiring event to fill transportation positions at Grand Rapids Public Schools and the Kent Intermediate School District will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn, 310 Pearl St. NW, in Grand Rapids.

Dean Transportation will host the event, which will focus on openings for school bus drivers, attendant and service technician positions. 

Participants will learn about benefits, pay, scheduling and workplace culture.

Dean Transportation offers starting pay of up to $23.25 per hour for bus drivers or $16.25 per hour for attendants. 

Competitive compensation is also offered for technicians, and is commensurate with certifications.

Attendees should bring a valid driver’s license.
