Educators, students welcome at zoo’s STEAM Day

Education Everywhere — Teachers can attend STEAM Day at the John Ball Zoo for free on Saturday, Sept. 23.

STEAM Day invites educators, students and their families to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through fun, educational experiences at the zoo.

Local schools and organizations will interact with guests through different STEAM-themed activities, while also learning how these aspects are used every day at the zoo.

Additionally, students can get hands-on time with musical instruments with the School of Rock’s Instrument Petting Zoo and hear live music performed by the Allendale Jazz Orchestra from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Admission is free for members and teachers who present a valid school ID. General admission tickets can be purchased online.
