Caledonia — With two decades spent in education, Caledonia’s assistant athletic director Jeremy Palmitier is serving as interim principal at Caledonia High School for the 2026-27 school year.
Already a familiar face in the community, Palmitier spent last year as assistant athletic director and has been actively involved in Caledonia youth and high school athletics. He previously served in several administrative roles at Kelloggsville Public Schools.
The district plans to conduct a comprehensive search for the next permanent principal, following the departure of former principal Bill Martin.
Previous positions in the district:
- Assistant athletic director, one year
- Girls’ basketball coach, three years
- Boys’ club volleyball team coach, one year
- Coached local youth sports
How will this new role change your approach to the work you do? “The core of how I connect with kids remains the same: a balance of strong accountability and deep compassion. What changes is the scope; I’m looking forward to bringing that same energy to the academic side of their growth.”
What he’s most excited about: “Honestly, it’s the people. I’m thrilled to work alongside the amazing staff who have supported my own kids throughout the years. Plus, getting to mentor students I already know while building relationships with more Caledonia students, and cheering them on in all they accomplish, is going to be incredibly rewarding.”
