Newcomer Students Pitch in to Trunk or Treat

Families with their little goblins, ghouls, princesses and Power Rangers received bags full of goodies donated by neighborhood businesses during Trunk or Treat at the Godfrey-Lee Early Childhood Center.

More than 40 cars opened their trunks while Lee High School National Honor Society students hosted competitions for car decorating and candy collecting.

Prior to the event, Brenda Caballero, Lee Middle and High School English Language Learner teacher challenged newcomer students, those who have live in the United States for less than a year, to practice their English skills by asking for donations from local businesses.
