Great Things to Do!

Looking for things for a family to do? If you have young children, be sure to check out Play, Learn, Explore on Saturday.

Don’t miss the inaugural Play, Learn, Explore! Early Childhood Resource Fair, Saturday, April 23, 9am-1pm at Kent Career Tech Center on the campus of Kent ISD. Dozens of childcare providers, preschools and community resources will come together under one roof so parents can explore multiple options at once.

The event is completely free and includes vision and hearing screenings for babies and toddlers, appearances by Clifford the Big Red Dog and Curious George from WGVU and Maranda from WOTV4, plus plenty of fun for young children including an obstacle course, dress up station, puppet shows and more. Kent Career Tech Center is at 1655 East Beltline NE, Grand Rapids,  near the Knapp Corner Meijer.

And of course, there are so many other options in the area too, many for free or nearly free. For your convenience, we’ve included some school and community education resources too.

What other family calendar resources would you like to see here? Let us know!
