Class is in session in the great outdoors

Field School, in its second year at Northview Public Schools, aims to foster mastery of core subjects and to encourage curiosity, stewardship, community, leadership and adventure in students in grades K-4.

SNN videographer Brett Atwood was at the Northview specialty school — housed in outbuildings on the grounds of East Oakview Elementary — to capture a typical school day, as well as students’ thoughts on learning, friendships and owl throw-up.
