Wanted: your voice to weigh in on strategic plan

Godfrey-Lee — Superintendent Michael Burde is inviting the Godfrey-Lee family to use their voices and come together to plan for the future.

The district has begun the strategic planning process to serve as a “north star” for all school and district improvements.

“We need your help,” Burde said in a social media video. “Malcom X once said ‘The future belongs to those who prepare for it today,’ and that’s what strategic planning is all about.”

One of the first opportunities for the community to share their feedback during the planning phase is through a survey.

“Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, an employee or community member, please know your feedback is valued in this process,” Burde said.

In an overview presentation, the district explained the plan to provide a structure for the community to monitor and measure progress. They also outlined four phases for the process and an estimated timeline:

Phase 1: Planning (September 2022 – November 2022)

Phase 2: Data Collection (December 2022)

Phase 3: Plan Development (January 2023 – August 2023)

Phase 4: Plan Implementation (Ongoing beginning September 2023)
