Education Everywhere — No need to swim in the ocean this summer — sharks are coming to the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
“Sharks” is a traveling exhibit from the Australian Museum and opens in Grand Rapids to the public on June 7. The exhibit will include 100 specimens and nine life-sized, scientifically accurate models of shark species, including the great white shark and the extinct, 270-million-years-old buzzsaw shark.
The exhibit will also include media presentations, hands-on displays and an immersive cylindrical surround theater.
“Sharks” is included with a general admission ticket to the museum. Children under the age of 17 living in Kent County are free. See ticket prices here.
