September is Library Card Sign Up month in Grand Rapids

Education Everywhere — September is a great time to get a library card in Grand Rapids.

To celebrate Library Card Sign Up Month, the Grand Rapids Public Library is offering perks for signing up for a new library card, and also extending the perks to people who already have one. 

Promotional items are available at any one of the eight Grand Rapids Public Library branches, including keychains, stickers and bookmarks, while supplies last. Patrons can also enter drawings for more library swag and a gift card to Schuler Books. 

Library posters are spread across the city in parks, on street poles and near library branches. If you see a poster, tear off a slip from the bottom and redeem it at a library branch for a free water bottle.

As part of the promotion, those who already have a library card can get discounts at more than 20 various coffee shops and bookstores throughout the area by showing their card. To see the complete list of participating locations, visit the Grand Rapids Public Library website.
