Kelloggsville — Kelloggsville Public Schools turned 170 this year, and for 25 of those years it has hosted its annual Community Day, a fall celebration designed to bring the community together.
Held on the same day as the district’s annual homecoming game, the event features an array of activities such as games, inflatables and low-cost food. School organizations and district partners, such as the high school’s Latino Student Union and School News Network, set up tables to showcase the opportunities available at Kelloggsville’s six school buildings and throughout the community.
“By bringing their students and their families together here with all our administrators, leaders and stakeholders in the community, we are building trust,” said Jennifer Sherman, principal of Kelloggsville Middle School. “When the students come into our building, they know that we support them and we see them for who they are.”
Videographer Brett Atwood attended the 2026 event earlier this month to discover just what makes Kelloggsville’s Community Day so unique.
