“Learn today, lead tomorrow” is a common slogan for schools and youth programs. But students now are also leading today, in meaningful, productive ways.
Kent Career Tech Center’s new manufacturing hub brought together four programs, each in larger spaces: welding, engineering, precision machining and mechatronics.
Students and educators from more than 30 West Michigan high schools came together with local veterans and community leaders for the ninth annual Armed Forces Thanksgiving event.
The recent event was part of Kent ISD’s Career and Talent Development initiative focused on increasing career exploration, training and work-based learning opportunities for students throughout the region.
