Showcasing the bands

Forest Hills — For the first time ever, all three of the district’s high school marching bands will take the field Monday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at Northern Hills High School, 3801 Leonard NE.

The free event features the Northern Hills High School Huskies Marching Band, the Eastern High School Hawks Marching Band, and Central High School Rangers Marching Band.

“This showcase was created to highlight the hard work and dedication that the students at Forest Hills put into their marching bands,” said Central High band director Joel Burns. “Forest Hills is lucky to have three amazing marching bands in our district. The directors believe that this opportunity will offer the students and the community the opportunity to see these three great bands performing.”

Each band will perform separately, with the three bands then combining their talents for a performance of “Hey Baby,” by Margerret Cobb and Bruce Channel.
