Rocking a colorful garden

Students share about the rocks they painted

Kelloggsville — Fourth-grader Kieyon Chappell chose a red-and-blue design for his contribution to a rock garden at Southeast Kelloggsville, saying, “I knew no one else would make it.”

The K-3 art event was part of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program. Each month, the school alternates between individual and group activities for those who demonstrate good conduct.

Afterward, students took one decorated rock home and left one for the school’s rock garden.
