A Capitol Idea

Lakeside Elementary fourth-graders recently paid a visit to the state Capitol as part of the social studies curriculum on the State of Michigan. Classes were given a tour of the building and a look at the rotunda.

They met with Fred Schaible, chief of staff for Sen. Dave Hildenbrand (R-Lowell), and finished their visit with a tour of the senate and house floor. The last stop of their Lansing trip was exploration of the Michigan History Museum. The annual Capitol visit is funded through parents via Lakeside Study Trip funds.
